What is Pep-1 peptide?

Description Pep-1 peptide is a well-known cell penetrating peptide (PTD, protein transduction domain) that transports full-length proteins to the nucleus of the cell. Pep-1 is a short amphipathic peptide consisted of a hydrophobic tryptophan-rich domain and a hydrophilic lysine-rich domain separated by a spacer.

What is Pep 1?

More info in PEP 1. More info in PEP 1. This PEP contains the index of all Python Enhancement Proposals, known as PEPs. PEP numbers are assigned by the PEP editors, and once assigned are never changed. The version control history of the PEP texts represent their historical record.

How is Pep-1 purified?

Purified Pep-1 was characterized by acid–urea PAGE, analytical RP-HPLC and MALDI-TOF MS (matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry), and peptide concentrations were determined by UV absorbance measurement using the extinction coefficient for tryptophan.
